I grew up on a horse farm outside Johannesburg, South Africa. The closest ocean was over 10 hours away but I loved being underwater - so my sister and I dreamt of being mermaids in the pool, in the river in the dam in the bath…
Now I spend my days exploring, loving and protecting our oceans. The blue lifeblood of our beautiful planet. Our only planet.
I am the founder of the I AM WATER Foundation and co-founder of I AM WATER Ocean Travel. I live, work and travel with my partner Peter and more recently our young daughter and baby boy. Peter has also taken all the underwater images you see here.
Recently we have launched a sustainable freediving brand called AGULHAS, another project aimed at connecting people to the ocean, for good!
